A classic example of Syrah from the Northern Rhone by one of the regions most respected winemakers. This bottling has gorgeous, spicy fruit up front, with cherry, plum, and pepper flavors on the palate and a touch of spicy oak on the finish.

This lightweight, almost rose red is one of the traditional varieties of the Jura. It's light, with tart cherry and earth, with bright and crisp acidity. Unusual but very interesting.

A yellow-gold white wine from C(tes du Rh(ne, made entirely with the Viognier grape. A honey and gingerbread bouquet follows through on the silky palate. Domaine le Garrigon vineyards have been organic since 1997.

Aromas of cedar, anise, and dark-red fruit lead to rich, fruity flavors. Viscous, satin texture creates wonderful mouthfeel and length.

Lots of suave spice and vanilla notes on the nose, backed by supple blackberry and black cherry fruit flavors. Shows tar and mineral notes on the dark finish, but stays long and stylish. A very intriguing wine.

This is a bold, spicy southern French blend of Grenache and Syrah that has a deep nose of black cherry and plum, hints of earth and a solid shot of black pepper in the finish.

Bright and earthy, with a long and elegant finish. This has a full mid-palate, with lots of fine tannins, and an elegant structure. Dark berry fruit notes balance the earthy and structured nature of the wine.

Semillon, sauvignon, muscadelle. Supple and round.
